This Project we studied many philosophical ideologies about existentialism, the meaning of life, the purpose of human existence, etc. and at the end we were to write a philosophy statement explaining our views on the universe and all its powers at play as well as our purpose in life and we needed to have a project to go along with this statement.
I've realized that a lot of things dont matter and never will and have been able to allow myself to know what to care about and not care about. I can prioritize myself and my friends, family, etc over other less important things in my life that shouldn't matter to me as much as they do such as popularity, social media, etc. Now I wonder how my newfound philosophy will shape my future and life decisions I make along my path. will my values change as i go on and most importantly will i be happy with the decisions i make. |
During this project we studied about rogerian arguments and how to apply proper rhetoric to a rogerian argument of our own. A rogerian argument is essentially just an argument that looks at both sides to create a more persuasive argument. For my project I partnered up with my fellow classmate Jude Kassay in order to create a mock debate over climate change where one of us was liberal and the other was conservative. We looked into the specific issue of who is responsible for climate change and if the solution will come from governments and people in power or the free market and local communities. During this project I learned how to accept people's opinions by looking at their background and understanding why people evolve to have certain views on topics. |
